Ohlins STX 22 Air MTB Shock Universal

The launch of Öhlins first air sprung shock STX 22 Air in 2015 received great deal of attention from the bike industry. The new STX 22 Air Universal met the demands for an air sprung Enduro/trail shock continuing on the ground breaking TTX 22 M coil shock release. The well proven Öhlins concept is based on technology developed from MX and experience gained from more than 300 championship titles. The Öhlins STX 22 Air Universal is available in 4 different lengths/strokes with mounting hardware compatible with a majority of all available Enduro/trail bikes on the market.

The STX 22 Air Universal features a large piston diameter balanced by a large compression valve that ensures internal pressures are kept under control. This results in low hysteresis and excellent damping response, offering ride efficiency without tampering with downhill control. Low and high speed compression and rebound damping are externally adjustable.

The air spring features a new seal system optimized for low friction but also to give a smooth balancing of pressure between the air chambers. The result is initial suppleness supported by mid-stroke control and that extra bottom out resistance coming from air spring characteristics. It is also possible to tune the spring curve by adding or removing volume spacers or additional oil in the positive air chamber for a more progressive or a linear feel.

Delivery without parts for mounting. Mounting kits need to be ordered seperately. The STX 22 Air Universal MTB shock absorber is mounted with bushings at top and bottom.

Mounting Kits:
